A. Arnold World Class Relocation has announced the formation of a new business unit, Strategic Transit Resource, which will focus on the commodities, high value, and specialized transportation market segments.

In announcing this expansion, Greg Hoover, President and CEO of the Louisville-based independent carrier, said “The creation of Strategic Transit Resource is a central component of our vision for the future of the company, and we’ve been working toward this for almost a year.   In addition to overall growth and diversification, it offers increased volumes in what are currently the flat periods in our business cycle. This improves efficiencies and utilization of our staff and assets and will improve service delivery across all of our existing product lines.  We’re very excited to start executing this key aspect of our business platform.”

With the creation of this division, the company also announces the addition of Louis Falconburg as the Director of Capacity and Direct Sales for Strategic Transit Resource.  A veteran of more than 25 years in the specialized transit, commodities, and LTL market segments, Falconburg brings a diverse network of clients and resources to his role.

“Louis offers a very broad range of talents for this new position and business unit,” said Jim Mazzuca, Senior Vice President of Fleet and Operations for A. Arnold.  “His impact will be immediate and significant across the many product lines that Strategic Transit Resource will service.”  Falconburg’s previous experience includes tenure with both Broadway Express and Home Direct.
